Mir-Hossein Mousavi supporters wearing all black +/or green + face masks, holding signs that read "Revote", "Ahmad Get Out", "Where is my vote", + showing large posters of the bloody protests on the streets of Iran were just in my hood. The U.S. secret service police scooted them out shortly before 8pm tonight.
The guy in the red cap claimed that our driver ran into "his car" + tried to scam him for money. He even climbed into the bus + took the key from our driver. It made us so mad, but what could we do... Eventually, the driver reluctantly gave the scam artist some rupees + we went on our way towards Jama Masjid Mosque.
Soon after our bus began to roll past her, her sad little face quickly turned into a smiling grimace as she skipped down the street. For most poor children on the streets in India, begging for money is just an everyday part of life. Some children are kidnapped by strangers + are forced to beg for money to make money for the kidnapper. Some children are even sold to traffickers by their own parents in order to pay off debts or gain income or they may be deceived concerning the prospects of training + a better life for their children. It's a very sad situation to witness. We are told not to give anything to these beggar kids as to not contribute to human trafficking.
delayed bday gift to myself My sis was in town again for her birthday vacation trip around the NE. Unfortunately for me, I had just lost my job the day before she arrived into town. But, the upside of it for her was that I had more time to show her around town. ;) Nevertheless, the great Spring weather provided us a good few days to hang out + explore the city together.
* Happy Berfday, Te! *

This is my journal. I am a full-time interactive designer + freelance photographer with immense love + respect for art, travel, food, technology, + music. Back in 2000, when I first began writing my musings online the content was solely based on my life experiences. Over the years I've meandered from writing on the introspective side + found myself expressing various thoughts, ideas, + interests through photography-inspired posts with little to no narrative. Though, when I tend to think aloud I share them on Twitter. The entry style may have changed, but this site still serves as my chronological journal of random occurrences, introspective or not.
I love{ sketching, design, photography, good typography, XHTML, CSS, constant education, staying current, being with the mister, family, preserving social ties, respect, islands, all things music, plucking guitar strings, sushi, henna mehndi art, photo booths, house hunting, Zumba dance, Body Pump, video games, road trips, rice, spicy food, nature wandering }
