With Christmas comes daily treats.

Of course, with all of our holiday feasting we had to share with others. :)

A group of us at work volunteered our lunch time for 2 days to cook, prepare, + serve lunch to the good folks at the Carpenter Shelter. There were at least 30 people + their kids expected to show up for the second day, so we had to really prepare enough food for everyone including the shelter's staff.

One of my workmates was in charge of cooking up the beef version of chili + I was asked to cook up the vegetarian chili. I didn't even know what that consisted of so J looked up a good recipe for veggie chili. Many many thanks to him for all his help with cooking this! It was definitely a 2-person job. Since he loves cooking chili, he led the way in this effort while I helped as his sous-chef. As you can see from the photo, this was no easy task. :)
